Introducing Aurora Salon & Spa

Owned by friends and entrepreneurs Marlo and Erica, Aurora Salon and Spa is one of Ottawa’s top rated eco-conscious beauty establishments, providing a range of salon and spa services at their fully licensed location.

The “Before”

Aurora Salon and Spa has gone through a couple WordPress websites since their latest redesign with Something Blue Studio. Having moved to a new location, Erica and Marlo wanted the latest edition of the website to match the new bright feel of their physical space, while making pricing easier to navigate for their older clientele. Since their last redesign with Something Blue Studio, they wanted to keep the same booking and gift card functionality that we had built for them previously.

The “After”

The most recent website refresh for Aurora Salon & Spa is really a testament to how our skills as designers and developers has grown over the years. Now with better back-end customizations, more hard-coded styles, and a better structure, the new website is easier for Marlo and Erica to make changes on the fly as COVID and weather conditions affect their business hours. The new site is easy to navigate, and we particularly like the newly redesigned services pages, which offer a clean, easy to follow view for all of this salon & spa’s beauty and relaxation services. Now, clients have a consistent experience from the first appointment to when they leave the bright and airy salon after their appointment.
